2.XX MATERIALS
A. Vapor Barrier Sheet:
Stego industries l5 mil "Stego Wrap Vapor Barrier" and "Stego Wrap
Red Polyethylene Tape", 877/223-4333; Raven industries l6 mil "Dura
Skrim D l6 WBK" with Raven two sided tape and 4-inch black tape,
800/635-3456.
PART 3. EXECUTION
3.XX INSTALLATION
A. Vapor Barrier: Verify
that at least 6-inches of compacted underslab base fill is in place, then cover
with vapor barrier sheet, lapping edges 6-inches minimum and taping all seams
with vapor barrier tape. Use vapor barrier sheet to boot around all
penetrations and seal with tape to create a continuous vapor barrier. Do not
penetrate vapor barrier with screed pins, wood stakes or other items. Sand, or
other granular fill prohibited above vapor barrier.
